Be Inspired – A Bouquet of Pearls And Thread

Our series of Be Inspired blog posts have been created to provide you with a range of inspirational elements to help you create your one of kind, bespoke wedding gown.

Today we’re delving into the world of couture embroideries, and those specifically of a botanical nature. Floral accents are synonymous with weddings – a bride usually carries a bouquet of flowers as do her bridesmaids. A groom generally has a floral accented buttonhole. Flowers also feature as decorative elements at ceremonies, receptions, and on wedding gowns.

Couture embroideries give you the opportunity to work with your bridal designer to create a unique, one of a kind design. A piece that is the decorative visualisation of your personality, something that has not yet been seen before - except perhaps in a dream.

Before you consider spending a few thousand dollars on an off the rack/ready to wear wedding gown, with the additional expense of alterations – you might be happily surprised to find that you could have a bespoke gown created for you, by you, for a similar price.

You are looking at a few of our favourite botanical embroideries that have inspired some of our own individual works. We hope that some of these will also help inspire you to design the finishing touches to your bespoke, couture wedding gown.
